Press Release
The band has indicated that their album, titled “My Life,” has just completed production. The standout feature of the band is the impressive vocal range of their lead singer, Carl, who evokes comparisons to Jon Bon Jovi. Additionally, I am particularly impressed by Edward's and Glenn’s remarkable guitar skills. During Zavanna’s appearance on Tunog Kalye, I had the opportunity to experience their music firsthand, which I find to be fresh and distinctly unique. While it may evoke memories of the glam rock hits from the past decade, it remains entirely different from what contemporary bands are currently producing. Initially, British keyboard player and producer Neal Shepherd intended to release “My Life” on an international scale, but the members of Zavanna proposed that it be launched in the Philippines first, as they wish to share their music with their compatriots. In a discussion with the band, they cited Def Leppard, Poison, Guns N’ Roses, and Bon Jovi as their primary influences. Zavanna remarked, “It’s just really Glam Rock. That’s what emerged in our album. We aimed for a slightly heavier sound, but it ultimately turned out to be Glam Rock. Listening to all those bands had an impact on us. It was dormant in our subconscious, but when the opportunity arose, it came to the forefront.”
